Football Season

It's fall time and so when we get home from church there is football on TV and in my family room. Brian and Zach are on lap number 20 around the house with intermittant tackles and throwing and catching. It's very entertaining. Much more so then the games on TV, especially when I try to follow my fantasy players.

Every year I have joked about how the players I draft seem to have their down years when they are on my teams (ex. Frank Gore, Maurice Jones-Drew, Steve Smith, etc.) So this year I am sending each of my players a letter...

Dear Mr. Rogers,

Congratulations on a successful start to your NFL career. I regret to inform you that for this season you have been drafted to my fantasy football team. This will very likely mean you will not throw for too many touchdowns or too many yards. I apologize for the damper this may put on your career. Rest assured however that this condition is temporary and after you have been released, traded, injured or saved by the end of season your numbers will most certainly improve. I cannot accept any liability for your decrease in performance and I wish you the best of luck as you work through this slump.

The first picture is Zach and I racing up our driveway. It is a pretty steep hill - great for conditioning and sledding.

Fun Times

So Zach and Mom have had a lot of fun playing together this week. Here are some of my favorite Zach quotes from the week...

"Let's go to sniffy park mama" You mean Tiffany Park? "Yea, sniffy park."

"All the people have to go in the dump truck. The truck is taking all the people to the promised land. It's by the airport."

"Do you like changing his diaper mama, is that fun?" Yes Zach. It's a blast.

Long days, quick years

We are all just plugging along here in Seattle. Tyler is now three weeks old and growing fast because he eats like a maniac. Brian will be crazy busy at work until after the 15th so its just me and my two little boys until then. If I can just convince Tyler to sleep a little more ar night OR get Zach to take a nap in the day it will be a peice of cake.

Today we went for a long walk - well Zach rode his bike and I pushed the stroller so I guess I'm the only one who walked. There is a beautiful trail that goes along a river near our new house. So fun to explore.

Tyler is starting to fade, maybe sleep is on the horizon!
