Halloween

 

 Capitan America (“CA”, aka; Capitan Awesome) and Friends invaded a number of locations this Halloween weekend.   Here CA is enjoying his time at a local church.

Go Sharks!!!!

The weekend end started off as usual,  a 9AM soccer match (sorry no pictures).  Normally Zach’s performance on the pitch could be considered good,  but today,  he put in a “complete” game and would easily be considered the “man of the match”.  Zach played well on offense and defense.  Once again on numerous occasions he stopped the other team from almost certain scoring opportunities.   However,  today, when he made those stops, he often kept control of he ball, moved it to the other end of the field and scored himself!  Though no official stats are kept, Zach claims 10 or more goals were made by him.   His favorite, goal #7; because after his initial shot was deflected,  he followed it and kicked it in the goal while it was bouncing.

Boo!!!!!!

Below are CA and Iron Man.  The first photo is the boys getting ready to go trick or treating.  Zach is going to be a good big brother and help Tyler carry his candy.   

The second photo is of Tyler during his obligatory stop at the mail box to look in the package box.  Zach is helping him close the door.

The next picture is of our approach towards a neighbors house,  as you can see,  CA will follow Iron Man anywhere.  What you can see, but don’t know is that CA is a super hero and refused to be carried anywhere,  so it was a slow walk between each house.

Here is Iron Man beating cat woman in a sack race.  As you can tell,  they were moving very fast.  Its hard to photograph Super Heroes. 

 

Jeff Weiss can attest to Tyler’s desire to be on the stand at church. Today I decided to give him the opportunity (once church was over of course) to make it to the stand and see what he would do.  After climbing up the steps, Tyler went to the edge and while facing the pews began speaking, I think, about heavenly father,  or me (his father) or some other father.   (DA DA DA DA DA DA!). 

 

Shannon had an off weekend (to say the least) meaning she was home with no scheduled games.   Shannon’s first trick was an attempt at burning down the house; luckily she failed, but we now have cool wax icicles hanging from the mantle (I don’t want her to clean this up), but a mess of wax on the carpet below (I am ok with her cleaning this up.)    The other trick was more sinister.  While trying to deface a hollowed out pumpkin Shannon aggressively stabbed the pumpkin with a kitchen knife which then snapped in two.  Unfortunately for Shannon the pumpkin was mostly unharmed while Shannon was rushed (not really, my mom drove very slowly down our driveway) to the Emergency room to stitch up an open wound on her hand.   She has to wear this contraption for the next ten days as a punishment for abusing orange gourds.
