!!!!!!!!!BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!
The Gadianton Robbers esteemed coach was happy with the play of his team Sunday as they secured their first win of the season against the hapless Dummies.
This weekend we had the opportunity to host both Jeff and Sharon; both went along on many of this weekends adventures when we could pry Sharon away from Epic games of Hide and Seek and Nerf shooting wars.
Agents speaking on behalf of Tyler Ellis have recently complained about the lack of press Tyler receives on the Blog. To remedy this situation, we have dedicated this post to Tyler! Here Tyler is once again enthusiastically supporting his brother at the regular Saturday morning soccer matches.
At times Tyler wishes he were on the field to provide support and encouragement to Zach, at other times he is on the field providing support and encouragement. We all thank Tyler for going with us the Soccer Games even though they occur during his nap time, and helping to make the outing enjoyable despite the weather.
The Sharks as a team had a rough go of it on the Pitch Saturday Morning as the opposing team simply out muscled them. However, if such awards were given, Zach would win defensive MVP of the game; exerting great effort, fighting through the blocks and pushes to divert several shots on goal throughout the match. His strong defensive play should not overshadow his 2 goal offensive effort; one of which coming on a dribble/shot from midfield that would have scored even without his effort to catch up with the ball to escort it safely to the back of the net.
Here Zach is throwing the ball in, to his teammates. His teammates were able to put enough touch on the ball to get it back to Zach.
Unfortunately the yellow team had perfected the flying V defensive and offensive formation and were consistently able to push through or mow down the Sharks in their quest to fight one another for the ball.
The Pumpkin Patch
After the game, Zach insisted we go to a pumpkin patch to find pumpkins. After all, I was informed that pumpkins at the Grocery Store were simply to small. Jeff, riding the "way" back of the White Nissan was concerned over Zach's comments regarding the size of the desired pumpkins. Rightfully so, because Jeff's seat would double as the cargo bay once we acquired our payload. I assured him there would be room, but little did I know, at this time, that Zach, Tyler, and Shannon had formed a secret combination in an attempt to buy every pumpkin in Washington! Here they are early in their plot, innocently posing for a picture on the Hay Ride at Trinity Tree Farms, tyring to lure the rest of us into a false sense of security. Secretly they were scouting the target pumpkin patch. For all the largest and heaviest pumpkins.
At some point during the escapade, the perpetrators had slipped the surveillance net set up to monitor their activities. When Jeff and I were able to find them again, Tyler had already found and loaded his Wheelbarrow with pumpkin.
From the looks of it, Tyler thought he was getting away. Despite his apparent lack of success, Tyler was having a great time. Although every attempt was made to convince the Troublesome Trio that no normal family would need this much pumpkin; I was assured that each one of them, in their individual capacity was needed to ensure a quality Halloween.
Seattle U donned pink uniforms for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and came away with a convincing win against the Idaho State Bengals. Grandma had her hands full keeping up with the boys at the game. Given the opportunity, they would have easily made the circuit a thousand times.
Best narration award to you on your blog! I love the patch and the tortoise and hare reference. And AWESOME pictures. Tyler, I love you! You're just so cute!
